Denture Cleaning
It’s important to take care of your dentures to keep them performing and looking their best. At RJDC, we have advanced cleaning tools that can cut through stuck-on plaque and tartar that builds up over time. This procedure takes approximately 20 minutes.
For daily cleaning, we recommend rinsing with water after meals and brushing once a day with dish soap. Dish soap is inexpensive, handy and it rinses off well without leaving a residue. There are alternative products to dish soap (Fresh-Cleanse) that can be purchased but it is not necessary.
Do not brush your denture with toothpaste or bleach products as these chemicals are abrasive and will wear out your denture affecting the fit. Brushing with soap will get rid of food debris but will not eliminate stains or tartar build up.
For this and other stubborn stains like coffee, tea, red wine or smoking you will need to soak your denture in a cleaning solution available at most pharmacies or Denture Clinics. We carry Nu-Dent, a professional strength cleaner available at selected Denture Clinics.
